Lavanya started Bharathanatyam training at the age of five with her mother Smt. Radhamani Varadhachary, NJ in the Pandanallur style.
Lavanya got introduced to Kalakshetra style by Smt. Satyapriya Iyer and learnt under her watchful eyes during the pandemic years.
Currently Lavanya is receiving advanced training from Sri. Shankar Kandasamy, Head of Dept. of Dance, Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.
Apart from being trained under her gurus in Bharathanatyam, she has gained extensive knowledge by
participating in several workshops conducted by established senior artists, choreographers and layam vidwans

Additionally, Lavanya has performed several vocal concerts and accompanied on the violin in USA and India
Played the lead role of “Little Krishna” that was staged in several venues in NJ in 2014.
2018 Performed as part of Sri. Madurai R. Muralidharan's production.
Sri. Papanasam Sivan’s composition and Smt. Anita Guha’s Choreography - Among other parts played the character of Kooni brilliantly at Cleveland festival Thyagaraja Aradhana 2023.
Lavanya has won several competitions including Cleveland Thyagaraja aradhana, CMANA, Sudharnava, Live4you, Samaa arts, Saptami, Art ‘n’ Beat, Papanasam Sivan festivals, Indian Raga, Spring Nectar foundationamong many other organizations for Carnatic Vocal and Violin.
