Abilash Giriprasad is a renowned Carnatic musician known for his exceptional talent and captivating performances. Guided by the esteemed Guru Sri A. S. Murali, Abilash embarked on his musical journey at a young age, immersing himself in the illustrious Semmangudi baani that embodies the rich traditions of Carnatic music.
Under the mentorship of Sri Srimushnam Raja Rao, Abilash honed his skills in various specialized areas of Carnatic music.

As a musician with extensive concert experience, Abilash Giriprasad has earned the prestigious ‘A’ grade from All India Radio, Chennai, attesting to his exceptional artistry. Abilash’s melodious voice and soul-stirring renditions have graced prestigious venues worldwide. From India to the United States, Canada, South Africa, and Reunion Island, he has performed extensively, leaving a lasting impression on diverse audiences.
An extraordinary collaboration with the Padma Vibhushan Awardee, Kathak Maestro Late Pandit Birju Maharaj, at the renowned Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival in the United States added another milestone to Abilash’s artistic journey.

Beyond his musical pursuits, Abilash holds an MBA in International Business Management, showcasing his commitment to holistic growth. SHANKAR KANDASAMY

Shankar Kandasamy is an established Bharata Natyam dancer in Malaysia. He heads the Bharata Natyam faculty of The Temple of Fine Arts Malaysia, where he was trained and continues to serve as Artistic Director, Choreographer and Performer. He has given many Bharata Natyam recitals both locally and travelled with the Temple of Fine Arts worldwide performing dance dramas and variety programmes. He is also trained in Odissi, Western Classical Ballet and other regional classical styles of India. This gives him a rich vocabulary of dance which he uses in choreography. Shankar has been one of the key choreographers in all major Dance Drama productions of the Temple of Fine Arts.

Being the head of the Bharata Natyam section Shankar has choreographed and conducted over 120 Arangetrams till this date. His sound working knowledge in Sanskrit and Tamil plus his Carnatic music training makes him double up as a resource person and music composer for the dance and dancers in Malaysia. He also serves as lecturer in the Degree Programme of the Malaysian National Arts Academy run by the Government of Malaysia. He sits on the National Arts Awards panel of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage Malaysia, as Advisor.

Shankar has received the BOH CAMERONIAN Award for best choreographer for a full length work ADC Crossing Borders.

Rajeev Mukundan

Rajeev Mukundan is a dynamic and acclaimed Carnatic violinist, whose mellifluous playing and keen sense of aesthetics and musical understanding makes him a much sought-after accompanist in the Carnatic concert circuit. Rajeev began his violin lessons with Shri N.Govindarajan at a very young age. He is a senior disciple of the violin virtuoso, Sangeetha Kalanidhi A.Kanyakumari and has been under able guidance for over two decades. He is an ‘A’-grade artiste of the All India Radio and has many accolades to his credit. Rajeev has travelled extensively, both in India and abroad. He has given many violin duet concerts with his Guru, and has accompanied several leading musicians of today. He has also been a part of many jugalbandis and unique musical collaborations. Apart from being a violinist, Rajeev is also a talented illustrator, who seeks to bring out the beauty of Carnatic music through his visual storytelling as well. He strives to take Carnatic music to the next generation through innovative projects, collaborating with his wife and vocalist, Krithika Natarajan. Rajeev also works full time in the entertainment industry as a game designer

Smt. Radhamani Varadhachary

Smt. Radhamani Varadhachary, rooted in the traditional Tanjore style, embarked on her Bharatanatyam journey under the tutelage of Dr. Sinduri Jayasinghe at the renowned Savithry Dance Academy in Chennai, where she had her arangetram. Upon relocating to New Jersey, she delved deeper into her artistry under the mentorship of Smt. Thejaswini Raj at the Shivajyothi Dance Academy. Beyond her role as a dedicated student, Smt. Radhamani has passionately nurtured the talents of numerous disciples, guiding them in both Classical and Traditional Folk dance forms. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science alongside an Associate Degree with High Honors in Bharatanatyam from Alagappa University. Presently, she continues to refine her artistry under the esteemed guidance of Sri. Shankar Kandasamy. As the visionary founder of Shree Nrithya Niketan, she ardently fosters the propagation and teaching of Bharatanatyam in New Jersey, enriching the cultural landscape with her dedication and expertise.
