Carnatic Violinist

Her journey into music started at the young age of five when she started her Violin lessons with Smt. Sandhya Anand having shown affinity to the sounds of Violin. Currently she is refining her violin skills under the guidance of Vidwan Rajeev Mukundan.

CONCERT EXPERIENCE

  • Lavanya has performed widely in the tri-state area including Srivari Sri Balaji temple, NJ, Guruvayoorappan Temple, NJ, Sri Krushna Vrundavana, NJ and Sai Datta peetam, Srutilaya, NY, and Mahaperiyava mani mantapam among others.
  • During the Covid times she has performed in online platforms including Music of Madras, Saptami foundation, Spring Nectar foundation and others.
  • During the December 2022 and 2023 Margazhi Season she performed several concerts including VVS Foundation, Kartik Fine arts, TTVV trust, and Nada sudha among others.
  • She has participated in the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana's flagship program Sustaining Sampradaya in the years 2023 and 2019 as part of RK Srikantan stream and S.Rajam stream.

Lavanya has given many stage performances in Bharatanayam and Vocal. Her Vocal Arangetram was held in Vani Mahal, Chennai in July 2023 in the presence of esteemed guests including Vid. Prince Rama Varma, Vid. Sri A.S.Murali, Sri. V.V.Sundaram, Kalaimamani Sri. Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan, Neyveli Sri. B. Venkatesh, Sri. Ashok Ramani
and others.
